This Spring The CluedUpp App Will Turn Philly Into a Giant Game of Clue!
Calling all murder mystery buffs and wannabe detectives, a new outdoor virtual gaming experience is coming to Philly this spring. The CluedUpp App which originated in England is crossing the pond and has been making its rounds across the U.S and now its “Jack the Ripper” game is coming to Philly on May 15th.
CluedUpp Games is an independent games studio specializing in outdoor gaming experiences. Formed in December 2016, CluedUp has boomed in popularity even throughout the pandemic due to its outdoor usage and socially distant format. The app now boasts almost half-a-million players with games happening in more than 38 countries worldwide.
“Our mission is to create amazing outdoor games that connects families, friends and colleagues in unique and innovative ways,” CluedUpp states.
Their flagship product, “CluedUpp Detective” is a city-wide, crime-solving adventure game where participants interrogate virtual witnesses across town and eliminate murder suspects and weapons. Participants can form their own teams to solve these mysteries. Jack the Ripper is part of the detective suite of the app. “The name Jack The Ripper strikes fear into the heart of detectives across the world. Now it seems that a new Ripper is on the loose and only you can put an end to the terror. Can your team of detectives scramble across town, solve the clues and crack the case before The Ripper strikes again?,” the game description states.
Tickets are $50 per team with a six person maximum per team. Teams can choose their own start times. However, they must choose between 9 am to 2 pm. The game is self-guided with an average length of 2 hours per experience. Click here for the Philadelphia tickets.
