Love wine but also get stuck on what wines are the best bang for your buck? Perhaps you enjoy collecting wines and want the skills of a sommelier for food pairings? Either way, you don’t get named a top sommelier by CBS and SOMM without learning a trick or two. So to help the Wine School of Philadelphia (109 S 22nd St.) is hosting “Sommelier Secrets: The Wine Tasting Class,” where attendees are given the trade secrets that will change how you buy and serve wine. The class will take place on Sunday December 15th starting at 5 pm.

This is an introductory course, so you will feel right at home even if you haven’t taken a Wine 101 class. Want to know how to make an inexpensive wine taste like an expensive one? Want to be able to buy wine by just looking at the fine print on the label? Want to spend less money but get better quality wine?

Of course, you do, which is why this two hour wine-tasting class will reveal the four essential secrets to finding your inner sommelier and much more. Other tips and tricks in this class include How would a sommelier shops for wine, recognizes flaws, pairs wine with foods, and properly serves wine.

What wine class would be complete without tastings? Check out the tasting sheets below. Tickets to the Sommelier Secrets class are $90 for non members and $54 for members and can be purchased at vinology.com/class/sommelier-secrets/
