The Reading Terminal Needs Your Vote to Make it the #1 Public Market in America! It’s Currently at #5!
Okay Philly, it’s time to show America who has the best public market. USA Today is running a competition to see who has the best market and of course we do but we’ll have to vote and prove it.
USA Today’s list consist of 20 public markets from various cities which were selected by a panel of “Best Local Experts” and contributors to the publication.
“Which is your favorite for getting the flavor of a city? Vote once per day until voting ends on Monday, April 12 at noon ET. The top 10 winners, determined by your vote, will be announced on Friday, April 23. Read the official Readers’ “ the competition states.
The Reading Terminal Market ranks among the country’s largest and oldest, dating back to 1893. “My favorite market in the Northeast,” according to 10Best contributor Eric Grossman, is “an easy one-stop shop for all the amazing treats offered up in Philly and Amish Country.”
Currently Reading Terminal is #5 on the leaderboard. Cleveland’s West Side Market is at the top followed by Cincinnati’s Findlay Market, Pike Place in Seattle and Lancaster Central Market in Lancaster, PA.
