The Reading Terminal Market is Having a Harvest Celebration With Specials
Fall is in full swing at Reading Terminal Market and Philadelphia’s historic public market is hosting a Harvest Celebration as part of Center City District’s Shop Center City Saturdays. From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, visitors can enjoy seasonal food and beverage specials, fall photo opportunity at the iconic neon sign, and arts and craft activities with the Fabric Museum and Workshop of Philadelphia.
Food and beverage specials will center around flavors of fall and include Bassets Ice Cream pumpkin ice cream, Mueller Chocolate Company candied/caramel/chocolate covered apples, and Flying Monkey Bakery pumpple cake. Additional items available include an autumnal tea blend from The Tea Leaf, apple crisp banana pudding from Sweet Nina’s, pumpkin pie pop tarts from Molly Malloy’s, apple pie cold pressed juice from Iovine Brothers Produce, and chocolate dipped pumpkin cookies from The Pennsylvania General Store.
“We’re excited to be part of the fall fun around town and want to thank Center City District for encouraging us to be part of Shop Center City Saturday’s again this year,” said Annie Allman, CEO and General Manager, Reading Terminal Market. “There will be something for everyone at our Harvest Celebration and we hope locals and visitors to the city will come enjoy the seasonal specials and activities while supporting our 70+ small businesses.”
In partnership with the Fabric Museum and Workshop of Philadelphia, kids will have the opportunity to create their own block printed pumpkin face. Guests can also participate in a Market-wide scavenger hunt put together by the museum: collect four pumpkin stickers from participating merchants and receive a special discount to the upcoming Blood Moon exhibition currently displayed at the Fabric Museum and Workshop of Philadelphia.
