The Philadelphia Film Society is known for its unique series of curated films from throwbacks, to cult classics, to international films, and more. However one of their more popular series is the anime films. Starting on April 2nd, PFS will be hosting “Lost in in Animation,” monthly screenings of hand selected anime films that will take place at PFS East in Old City (125 S 2nd St.).
“Anime, and the manga that inspires it, has become a phenomenon across the globe that shows no signs of slowing down and, more importantly, running out of ideas. Join us for our newest recurring monthly series of new and old classics celebrating the wide range of power, emotion, and visual splendor that only anime can provide.” PFS state.
The first in the latest series will be Only Yesterday, directed by Isao Takahta which will take place April 2nd at 7 pm. This will be followed:
