The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Removes Russian-Made Products from Fine Wine & Good Spirits Stores
Expect to see a smaller selection of vodka next time you’re at the liquor store. PA state stores are taking a stand against Russia by removing Russian-sourced products. In a tweet by Governor Tom Wolf, he encouraged the Liquor Control Board to remove Russian-sourced products from stores and cease selling them ASAP.
In response, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced Sunday evening that all Russian-made products will be removed from the shelves of Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores as a show of solidarity and support for the people of Ukraine.
According to a press release, Russian-made Special Order products are also no longer available.
As of today, these products will no longer be sold or procured by the PLCB,” said Board Chairman Tim Holden. “Given the evolving political-economic climate, it’s just the right thing to do.”
Fine Wine & Good Spirts stated on social media, “In support of the people of Ukraine, the PLCB today, 2/27/22, stopped buying and selling Russian-made products through its Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores, licensee service centers and FWGS.com.”
Today I sent a letter to the Liquor Control Board urging them to remove Russian-sourced products from stores and cease selling them ASAP.
Pennsylvania stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
