The Penn Museum is Hosting the Wellness Series “Mind and Mood Recharge” Featuring Yoga, Sound Baths, Meditation, & More

If health and wellness were a part of your New Year’s resolution, just know that it doesn’t end in the gym. Wellness also means mental health. So for those looking for an event where you can prioritize your self-care, the Penn Museum (3260 South St.) has you covered.

In partnership with Penn Medicine, the Penn Museum recently launched Mind and Mood Recharge with the next event taking place on Wednesday February 5th from 5 to 8 pm. Guests will get to immerse themselves in an evening chalk-full of activities including yoga, sound baths, meditation, art workshops, and more.

Mind and Mood Recharge is for all levels and will offer fundamental techniques in meditation, stress relief, as well as art workshops. Healthy snacks, spirits, and mocktails can also be enjoyed at the Botanical Bar.

Tickets to Mind and Mood recharge are available now at penn.museum. If you are unable to attend February’ session, there will be other opportunities on March 5th as well as April 2nd.

Unwind with Yoga
5:30 & 6:15 pm Join us for an all-levels yoga class combining movement, gentle breathwork, and mindfulness to inspire relaxation and inner harmony. BYO mat, a limited number of yoga mats will be available. Space is limited, reserve your space via the link in your registration email. If space is available, walk-up registration for yoga sessions is first-come, first-served.

Meditation
5:30 or 6:15 pm Learn foundational techniques to cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and bring a sense of calm and clarity to your daily life through mediation. Pre-registration is not required.

Sound Bath and Healing
6:15 & 7:15 pm Immerse yourself in healing vibrations and soothing tones designed to promote deep relaxation and restore balance to your mind and body. Pre-registration is not required.

Practice the art of slow looking
6:30 pm Did you know that most people spend just 17 seconds looking at an artifact? Bring your curiosity and an open mind for a 30-minute guided slow looking session designed to help you reduce stress, rejuvenate your mind, and create meaningful personal connections with the Museum collection.

Discover your Creative Flow
5:30-7:30 pm Drop in for a colorful journey of self-expression and creativity during a Color Cell Creations workshop with Project Joy. It’s all about embracing each small moment one stroke at a time, as you craft something surprising and truly exciting.

Botanical Bar & Wellness Marketplace
6:30 pm Treat yourself to herb-infused cocktails, mocktails, and light bites at the Botanical Bar and shop for gifts, crafts, and services offered by local small businesses.
