Looking for something to do tonight? Well if you’re a fan of Davide Bowie here’s a chance to celebrate his bday weekend with a spacial bash at the National Liberty Museum (321 Chestnut St.).

Tonight January 5th, NLM will host the 4th Annual Bowie Bash 6:30 pm-9pm, featuring live music, a cash bar with specialty cocktails from Tattooed Mom, themed activities, and more.

The evening will be hosted by Eric13, a singer, guitarist, DJ, and original member of Philly’s All Star Tribute Band Candy Volcano, and will feature performances by Patrick Bamburak, Chris Huff, Shannon Turner, Rumi Kitchen, Kevin Monko with Lance Comet of Candy Volcano, and Flash Jordan with Wurli.

Bowie Bash coincides with the opening of NLM’s Bowie-inspired pop-up gallery and art sale, featuring local and national artists celebrating the liberating power of David Bowie, his persona, and related iconography and showcasing his impact on the worlds of music and performance. The pop-up gallery and art sale will be open through April 8th; a portion of the proceeds from all art sales will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), in partnership with Philly Loves Bowie Week.

You can enhance your visit and purchase a VIP ticket to attend the private preview reception for our newest exhibition, Amplified: Art, Music, Power, which celebrates music as an expression of liberty and a catalyst for personal and societal transformation. Your ticket provides access to a first look at the exhibition, meet-and-greet with exhibition artists, complimentary lite fare, and an open bar from 6 pm – 7 pm. The reception will also feature DJ John Morrison of WXPN spinning a curated set of music inspired by the exhibition. Tickets available at libertymuseum.org
