The Mann is Screening Aladdin With The Philadelphia Orchestra Playing the Score & You Can Pack Your Own Picnic
Who doesn’t love a great picnic? Well, the Mann Center for the Performing Arts is inviting everyone out to not only set up your own picnic but also to catch the Disney classic Aladdin In Concert on Saturday, July 27th.
We all know the classic soundtrack with such hits as “Arabian Nights,” ”Friend Like Me,” “Prince Ali,” and of course “A Whole New World.” Now you can sing along with family, friends, or make it a date night and hear these classic tracks with The Philadelphia Orchestra performing the score live.
For those that are looking to have a picnic at movie night but don’t want to pack, no worries, the Mann offers pre-packed picnic baskets curated by Di Bruno Bros. and offers items such as herb-dusted Atlantic salmon with citrus herb orzo and lemon rosemary grilled chicken with Mediterranean ratatouille.
Lawn tickets are $28 per person and the Mann also offers free parking.
If you’re looking for another orchestra experience, you can throw a picnic on the lawn and check out Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue @ 100 with The Philadelphia Orchestra and Marcus Roberts Trio on July 24th. Indie rock fans won’t want to miss an iconic collaboration with Beck playing with the Orchestra as well on July 25th. (Beck with The Philadelphia Orchestra is not a part of the Mann’s Picnic Series.)
