The Mania Club Tailgate will be happening both days and will offer fans classic tailgate vibes with a twist.
Mania Club co-founders Ashontay Owens (Ret. Air Force) & Gary Fonseca, created their unique tailgate experience back in 2016 after a chance meeting outside of AT&T Stadium during WrestleMania 32. “After hitting it off, we started grilling and serving food in exchange for donations to Connor’s Cure. Since then, the annual tradition has evolved into the extravaganza it is today, and Mania Club’s donation efforts have expanded to 365 days a year since that first tailgate; amassing over $180,000 to Connor’s Cure and various other charities,” states Gary Fonseca.
This year’s tailgates will take place April 6th & 7th from 1-4:30 pm at the Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia. Guests will get to enjoy an all-you-can-drink experience along with extensive food with a Day 1 menu featuring a cheesesteak bar and a Day 2 menu featuring a taco bar. In addition tailgaters will also enjoy a cosplay contest, games. as well as auctions and raffles to support Connor’s Cure. “We’re expected to have representatives from the V Foundation in attendance to help celebrate our record-smashing year. Wrestling influencers and special guests are expected, but none are officially announced,” Gary adds.
For those looking to support Mania Club’s mission to raise money, Mania Club jerseys will also be available for purchase “Our jerseys are so much more than the fabric they’re made of – they foster a sense of belonging and boldly represent our community of passionate wrestling fans. Jerseys help fund charitable initiatives throughout the year and are a beacon that the wearer is in our fight to crush cancer,” Owens explained.
Mania Club is currently experiencing a period of unprecedented growth. The group currently has 25,000+ members from all over the globe including the U.S, UK, Canada, Spain, Mexico, Australia, and more.
“We’re celebrating reaching our $40,000 (#40for40) annual donation goal to Connor’s Cure — our biggest ever.
