The Hot Chocolate Crawl Returns to East Passyunk With Classic & Boozy Hot Cocoa at Over 15 Locations

Philadelphia’s most delicious winter tradition is back and bigger than ever. The 4th Annual Passyunk Ave. Hot Chocolate Crawl returns to East Passyunk Avenue on,December 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., inviting families, food lovers, and holiday shoppers to sip, stroll, and celebrate the season along one of the city’s most vibrant commercial corridors.

More than 15 restaurants, bars, cafés, and dessert shops will participate in this year’s crawl, each serving their own creative take on the beloved winter drink. Visitors can indulge in $3 classic hot chocolates, $6 boozy or premium varieties, and $8 ice cream–infused creations—all accessible with the purchase of a commemorative $12 souvenir mug, now on sale.

Along the avenue, local boutiques, retailers, and artisan shops will join in the festivities with special sales, treats, discounts, raffles, samples, and holiday pop-ups, making the crawl a full-day celebration of community and small business.

Dozens of businesses return with signature hot chocolate creations, while others offer exclusive one-day-only flavors. Highlights include:

  • B2 Café: Classic Cocoa & Ice Cream Cocoa

  • DaVinci & Yu: “Best Spiced Hot Chocolate in Philadelphia!”

  • Ground Up Café & Coffee: Nutella Hot Chocolate

  • Juana Tamale: Mexican Hot Chocolate + Vegan Option

  • Milk Jawn: Candy Cane Ice Cream Hot Chocolate + Vegan Cocoa

  • Pistolas Del Sur: Boozy & Non-Boozy Mexican Hot Chocolates

  • P’unk Burger: Nutella Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate; Smashburger specials

  • Stogie Joe’s Tavern: Boozy Cocoa with Tito’s or Jim Beam

  • Townsend Wine Bar: Multiple boozy & non-boozy options

Holiday cheer fills the air as performers from the East Passyunk Opera Project bring live Christmas carols and seasonal tunes to the street. Performances will take place both inside and outside of participating businesses throughout the day.

Retailers and boutiques will also contribute to the fun with:
