The Franklin Institute is Hosting Science After Hours “Fright@Night” With DJs, Live Music, and & Spooky Activities
Break out your costumes because The Franklin Institute’s Science After Hours is back with another Halloween edition. Taking place on Friday the 13th 7:30-11:30 pm, the Franklin Institute is inviting all thrill seekers to join their Fright@Night.
Guests will not only get access to all of the awesome exhibits TFI has to offer but also get treated with an array of activities and live entertainment throughout the night. As always there will be bar stationed throughout for those looking for adult beverages. Activities include:
- DEPARTED Takeover. Philadelphia’s premier immersive house music experience, DEPARTED; brings their fusion of global dance culture, art, and performance flavor for an inspiring, energizing and uniting dance experience for the whole body.
- Be transported to distant worlds with ArcheDream for HUMANKIND, with lively performances and looks from this internationally touring blacklight mask and dance theatre company.
- Enjoy a live performance with Broke Body, Philly’s dynamic three-piece post punk band as they ignite the planetarium stage with their dark and exhilarating soundscapes.
- Trick-or-treat your senses with the Monell Chemical Senses Center as you experience three hands-on activities in a science-based sensory takeover with a sugary coating.
- Philly’s glamorous ghoul of drag, Onyx Ondyx, will summon sinister energies for an unforgettable evening of Drag Bingo.
- In space, no one can hear you scream. Venture into the unknown in our Fels Planetarium as we explore terrifying phenomena and stories from outer space through special guided presentations.
- Witness special dissections and specimen explorations throughout the evening.

Tickets to Fright@Night are $40 in advance and $45 at the door ($35 for members). Tickets include access to all of the museum’s core exhibits and galleries, a limited edition lapel pin created exclusively for the event, as well as access to the roof deck, offering sweeping views of the city and facilitated stargazing (weather permitting).
