The Eagles Have Been Selected to Play in the First NFL Game in South America
The Eagles just made a huge announcement on social media. In their big announcement the Eagles posted that they have been selected to play in the first ever National Football Game to be played in South America.
“With the global growth of our sport being a top priority to our league, we embrace the opportunity to grow our fanbase arpund the world and bring Eagles football to the 38 million sports fans in Brazil.” the statement read.
The game will take place Week 1 of the 2024 season at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil on Friday, September 6. The game will take place one day after the annual NFL Kickoff Game set to take place between the defending Super Bowl LVIII champion and another team. Their opponent has yet to be named but could be one of the following nine:
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers
Green Bay Packers
Jacksonville Jaguars
Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants
Washington Commanders
