The Cruiser Olympia is Hosting an After Hours Series Featuring Various Themes, Cocktails, Live Music, & More
Last summer the oldest floating steel warship in the world, The Olympia located at the Independence Seaport Museum (211 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd.) launched special speakeasy events. The series was so popular that The Olympia decided to bring it back for a special after hours series featuring various themes, cocktails, live music, and more.
The Olympia After Hours series will launch on June 28th with a special Pride night. Then the series continues every other Friday throughout the summer. Taking place from 6-9 pm, each night will have its own special programing so guests will get to enjoy a different experience with each visit. See full schedule below:
June 28th | Pride Night
Enjoy themed cocktails and mocktails on the decks of the ship and live performances (from 7 – 8:30 PM) from:
Avery Goodname: A local Philadelphia drag queen, she was also featured in Season 5 of Camp Wannakiki.
Eugene Rideher: A local Philadelphia drag king.
Mister Right: A local Philadelphia drag king.
July 12th | Speakeasy Night
Speakeasy evenings feature live music, games, drinks (featuring new, thematic mocktails), snacks, and the opportunity to learn all about what serving in the United States Navy during prohibition looked like. Thematic dress is welcome but not required.
July 26th | Sci-fi Night
While this might not be a far-out galaxy or an alternate universe, you will still have fun at our Sci-Fi Olympia After Hours event on Friday, July 26. Come dressed as your favorite character of the realm and enjoy themed cocktails and mocktails on the ship’s decks as you enjoy the music and the great views of the Delaware River.
July 9th | Speakeasy Night

August 23rd | 90’s Night
Break out the acid-wash jeans, butterfly clips, and flannel…the 90s are back and in full swing aboard the Olympia for the Independence Seaport Museum’s last themed night of the season on Friday, August 23. Take inspiration from your favorite pop star or actor and climb aboard for a night that includes themed cocktails and mocktails, the greatest hits from the decade, and special 90s trivia to make you feel nostalgic.
