The Bourse is Hosting a Three-Day Block Party Featuring Pop-up Beer Garden and Craft Market
The Bourse Food Hall is celebrating the kickoff to summer and July 4th in Philly with a three-day celebration featuring an outdoor beer garden, artisan craft market, cocktail and zero-proof bar, and more in front of the food hall, on 5th Street between Chestnut and Market Streets, on Friday, June 24, Sunday, June 26, and Sunday, July 3, 4 pm – 9 pm.
As a historic landmark on Independence Mall dating back to 1895, The Bourse is excited to partner with Wawa Welcome America and celebrate America’s independence in the shadows of history, as the official pre-party location for this year’s Independence Mall performances on Friday, June 24 (The U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus, 7-9 pm), Sunday, June 26 (Yolanda Yvette Adams alongside the Welcome America Mass Choir, 7-9 pm), and Sunday, July 3 (Philly POPS, headed by GRAMMY® nominated singer and songwriter Ryan Shaw, 7-9 pm). Visitors and locals alike can enjoy a beer garden helmed by The Bourse vendors, Scoop DeVille, Freebyrd Chicken and Grubhouse, plus cocktails and mocktails from La Botanica, and crafts and wares from local small businesses and artists.
“We are so excited and honored to partner with Wawa Welcome America this year as the official pre-party for the Independence Mall performances,” said Katelyn Martin, The Bourse Marketplace General Manager. “The performances don’t start until 7 pm each night, so we encourage visitors AND locals to join us before each show for a frozen lemonade, beer, or mocktail while perusing some gifts, crafts and wares from some really awesome local small businesses and artists.”
The festivities will kick off on Friday, June 24 from 4-9 pm with a performance from Rev. R2 and Da’ Crew at 5 pm on 5th Street between Market and Chestnut Streets. The pop-up beer garden will take over The Bourse’s 5th st patio boasting a selection of boozy and non-boozy beverages for visitors, including frozen spiked lemonades and Night Shift Brewing Beers from Scoop DeVille, Doc Wylder’s and Spearhead Brewing Company’s Decoy Lager from Freebyrd Chicken, Double Nickel Brewing Company beers from Grubhouse, and more. Plus, local Mixologist, Stacey Lyons, of La Botanica will be shaking up a variety of craft cocktails and mocktails.
Attendees can sip and shop, while perusing a plethora of gifts, souvenirs, and handmade crafts from a host of local artists and small businesses, including Hurricane Woodwork and Trial by Fire on June 24th, Mama Phoenix Traveling Boutique and local artist Nataliya Yermolenko on June 26th, HevaDeer Designs and Nyambi Naturals on July 3rd, and many more.
The pop-up beer garden will be open from 4-9 pm and the craft market will be open from 4-7 pm on Friday, June 24, Sunday, June 26 and Sunday, July 3 in front of The Bourse Food Hall, located at 111 S. Independence Mall E.
