Chef Matt Budenstein, known best for being one of the founders and Co-owners of Liberty Kitchen PHL, along with artist and musician Chris Prewitt, are launching WoW Burger – a new burger brand that will take over the kitchen at Warehouse on Watts (W.O.W.), one of Philadelphia’s top independent venues and nightclub at 923 North Watts Street, just off Girard Street in North Philly’s West Poplar neighborhood.
WoW Burger will mainly be operational during shows and events at Warehouse on Watts, featuring locally-sourced beef from Happy Valley Meats, with additional specials made in collaboration with artists featured at the venue. The brand will also participate in various popups and events around the city for those interested in trying WoW Burgers without attending shows at Warehouse on Watts.
The business will launch on Sunday, April 20th at 3:30 p.m. with its opening event: “Psychedeli” presented by Aspire Higher & Transit. The event will feature Tripp St., Chmura, Daggz, and B+ B2B Hydroglyph. The “Four Twenty celebration” and WoW Burger grand opening will feature a sandwich collab with Pizza Gutt’s Daniel Gutter, along with live vinyl by Wes Schwartz of Grimace Federation/Waxpaper Records. Munchies will be available for purchase downstairs, with free entry from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. or until sellout. The event is for ages 21+ only. Tickets are required for the upstairs show, with doors opening for the show at 6 p.m. Learn more about the event here, and purchase tickets to the event here.
