I’m guessing the Liberty Bell and Rocky would also make the list but you can’t eat those. As much as we all love the cheesesteak, did you know that the City of Brotherly Love’s beloved sandwich, had it’s own national holiday? Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop (6030 Torresdale Ave) is celebrating National Cheesesteak Day by offering its Facebook fans a large cheesesteak for $7 on Friday if they share the shop’s Facebook post. You must show the share when placing order to get the deal. There is a limit of one special per person.
Old City’s The Little Lion (243 Chestnut St) is serving their upscale take on this Philly favorite and a side of fries for $10 all day (normally $15). Their version is topped with Wild Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, Horseradish Cream and Sharp Cheddar.
