Stratus Rooftop & Sisterly Love Collective are celebrating Women’s History Month by paying homage to some of the leading women in the culinary and music fields. Throughout the month of March, Stratus will be hosting a weekly pop-up series every Wednesday dubbed “Women’s Way Wednesday,” where each Wednesday guests can enjoy food prepared by some of the best women restauranteurs and music by talented women musicians.

Women’s Way Wednesdays kicks off on Wednesday, March 1st  from 5:30 – 8PMat Stratus Rooftop Lounge and features a variety of of hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer tastings, Champagne and oysters, spirited cocktails, live music, a silent auction, and more.

Women’s Way Wednesdays brings together the Philadelphia area’s top tier culinary and beverage talent to celebrate their talent and standing success, but also to benefit Women’s Way, Philadelphia’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of women, girls, and gender and racial equity. 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Women’s Way as well as a portion of purchased featured cocktails, brews and wine.

Kicking off Women’s Way Wednesday on March 1st is a collaborative cocktail soirée led by Sisterly Love Collective. Attendees can expect an array of small bites from an extensive collection of notable culinary talent including (but not limited to) Ange Branca, Monica Glass, Sofia Deleon, Melissa McGrath, Melissa Pellegrino, and Cristina Martinez.

Those looking for spirits and liquors can head over to Stratus Rooftop Lounge’s adjacent enclosed pavilions Mist and Vapor where they will be serving cocktail pairings and beer tastings courtesy of women-owned breweries Attic Brewing Company and Love City Brewing.  Wine lovers can enjoy selections from  JLOHR Vineyards, Famille Perrin, Marques de Caceres, and more. In addition, Sweet Amalia Market and Chandon will serving oysters and Champagne.

“March is the perfect month to continue doing what the Sisterly Love Collective does best: showcasing professional women in food and beverage, and helping women in need,” said Jill Weber, Co-Chair of Sisterly Love Collective. “This is such a great opportunity to come eat, drink, and do good for others.”

Following, Stratus Rooftop Lounge will host a different chef every Wednesday from 5:30 – 8PM. Each chef will present a thoughtfully curated menu of diverse, delicious small bites in addition to cocktails, brews, global wines, and pastries, plus live entertainment and an interactive meet & greet with featured chefs. The current culinary line-up and list of musical acts is as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 1: Sisterly Love Collective cocktail party style kick-off
  • Wednesday, March 8: Chef Christina McKeough of High Street Philadelphia (desserts by Milk Jawn)
  • Wednesday, March 15: Chef Jennifer Zavala of Juana Tamale (tea tastings by FarmerJawn)
  • Wednesday, March 22: Chefs Kiki Aranita and Olga Sorzano (Poi Dog, Baba’s Acid Trip) (pastries provided by Kouklet Brazilian Bakehouse)
  • Wednesday, March 29: Chef Thanh Nguyen of Gabriella’s Vietnam

“We’re thrilled to be hosting Women’s Way Wednesdays with Sisterly Love Collective, not only as a way to show our appreciation and admiration for Philadelphia’s vast repertoire of women purveyors in the food and beverage industry – but to support the Women’s Way organization and all that they continue to do for our community,” said Erik Travers, Director of Restaurants, Bars and Events for Kimpton Hotel Monaco.

Imbibers attending one or multiple Women’s Way Wednesday events can select from a host of featured craft cocktails utilizing women-owned distilleries, wines by the glass from women winemakers such as Anna Clifford and Kristin Barnhisel, and local brews from Love City Brewing, Triple Bottom Brewing, and Attic Brewing Company. Additionally, during each weekly pop-up, the featured chef will present a brief but interactive discussion on their backstory, accomplishments, and insights on success in their respectful business while allowing time for a Q&A with the crowd.

Tickets for the Sisterly Love Collective Kickoff, held on Wednesday, March 1, will be $75 per person, all-inclusive and include two beverage tickets. For the following Wednesdays, from March 8 through March 29, tickets will be priced at $35 per person and include an exquisite variety of one-of-a-kind bites with beverage purchases à la carte. Tickets for each weekly event are required and can be purchased by clicking HERE.
