South Street is Launching Their Own Version of Restaurant Week With “South Street Smorgasbord”

20 years ago Center City District launched Restaurant Week and since then many local neighborhoods have launched their own versions of the foodie event. Now it looks like South Street Headhouse District is the latest neighborhood to join in. From September 24th through October 1st, the South Street Headhouse District will be hosting its first ever South Street Smorgasbord featuring three tiers: $40-45 prix fixe or Dinner Special; $20 Dinner or Lunch Special; and $10 & Under Snacks on South.

South Street is putting a twist on the classic restaurant week, instead of focusing on sit-down restaurants or dinner-only establishments, this restaurant week will feature a wide variety of food and beverage businesses, including take-out only, desserts, and small snacks. “More Than Just a Restaurant Week, featuring international cuisines, comfort food from neighborhood favorites, as well as snacks, desserts, and other deals from South Street Headhouse District businesses and restaurants you need to know,” SSHHD states.
