South Philly Staple Penrose Diner is No Longer 24 Hours!
Most of us get familiar with local 24 hours from our party days. Going out to bars or clubs then craving eggs and pancakes after throwing back rounds of tequila. One of Philly’s most popular diners, Penrose will no longer be serving the club crowd or any other crowd for that matter past midnight. That’s right, the South Philadelphia staple Penrose Diner will no longer be open 24 hours.
Citing lack of staff, Penrose made their announcement via their social media pages. One by one Philly’s diners have been slowly either disappearing or no longer 24 hours. The last diner to bow out of the Philly diner scene was Little Pete’s in Center City.
Penrose will now be open 6 am to midnight Monday Through Friday. Check out their official statement below.
