Shhhhh Red Owl Tavern Now Has a Secret Passport Menu Featuring Cocktails From All-Over The World!
Red Owl Tavernisknown for its extensive collection of brown spirits and excellent bar program from Lead Bartender Kyle Darrow. Now Darrow and his team are taking an excellent program and amping it with the Old City tavern’s new Passport Menu, an exclusive, innovative cocktail menu boasting 11 tipples from around the world made with indigenous ingredients.
These “off-menu,” competition-level cocktails, priced at $15 each, are inspired by Darrow’s love of travel and tell a story about each respective country, including those less explored and not typically represented on American cocktail menus, such as Cambodia and South Africa.
“The Passport Menu is designed to take our more adventurous guests on a trip around the world,” said Darrow. “I challenged each of my bartenders to choose a country and to create a cocktail using non-universal ingredients only indigenous to that region. The result is a conglomerate of beautiful, one-of-a-kind, genuine cocktails with exotic flavor combinations that tell an overarching story.”
Cocktail connoisseurs looking to try one of these unique tipples will have to ask the bartender for a Passport Menu as these cocktails are not available on Red Owl Tavern’s regular bar menu. The Passport Menu is available during bar hours: Monday-Friday, 11 am – 2 am; Saturday & Sunday, 10 am – 2 am.
Passport Menu cocktails:
Japan– shochu, black sesame, yuzu, egg white, seasonally flavored powders
Scotland– Johnnie Walker Black Label, black tea, thyme, honey, steel cut oats
