Rooftop Movies Return to Sunset Social With Two Weekly Screenings on Their 60-Foot Screen
Outdoor movie season is back. Sunset Social officially reopens on April 13, bringing back its popular Rooftop Movie Nights—a weekly series of free screenings set against sweeping skyline views from atop Cira Green.
Known for its laid-back vibe and one of the best rooftop settings in the city, Sunset Social will once again transform its 1.2-acre rooftop park into an open-air movie destination, complete with a massive 60-foot screen, lawn seating, and a full lineup of food, drinks, and activities.
Movie Nights are free and open to the public, with films typically starting at 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure a prime spot on the lawn.
The lineup features a mix of blockbusters, throwbacks, and fan favorites throughout the spring and summer:
- May 6 – F1 The Movie
- May 13 – Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning
- May 20 – Jurassic World Rebirth
- May 27 – Anaconda
- June 3 – Avatar: Fire and Ash
- June 10 – Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
- June 17 – The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
- June 24 – Hustle
- July 1 – Jaws
- July 8 – The Devil Wears Prada 2
- July 15 – Creed
- July 22 – Happy Gilmore
In addition to evening screenings, Sunset Social is introducing Saturday Movie Matinees, with films starting at noon.
Guests can take advantage of specials from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., including:
- $4 Kona Big Wave beers
- $3 cheeseburgers
- $2 hot dogs
(Matinee movie lineup will be announced soon.)
While the rooftop films are the main draw, Sunset Social continues to offer a full slate of weekly programming:
- Rooftop Quizzo (Tuesdays)
- Paws and Pints (Thursdays) – dog-friendly happy hour with drink and food specials
- Friday Night Block Parties with rotating DJs
- Phillies games on the big screen
- Sundae Social and themed drink specials like Margarita Mondays
The venue is also family- and dog-friendly, making it a flexible option for everything from casual hangs to group outings.
