Queen Village’s Farina Di Vita is Collaborating With DiBruno Bros to Create “The Beefie Smalls”
The award winning sandwich and pasta shop, Farina Di Vita is no stranger when it comes to collaborating with local chefs and other eateries. However, their largest collab is happening with the legendary brand DiBurno Bros.
Two Philadelphia Italian specialty companies are coming together and merging their products and creative juices to create a new hoagie that will be available for one month only.
The new special has been dubbed “The Beefie Smalls” and will showcase DiBruno Bros Roast Beef, as well as their cheddar horseradish spread and a Farina Di Vita housemade pepperoncini and red onion slaw. This collaboration Starts Monday, July 29th and runs for the entire month of August (31st).
“The collab came about due to a previous special that caught DiBruno Bros attention when I utilized one of their other spreads. Emilio (owner of DiBruno Bros) came by to try the sandwich himself and loved it. He wanted to see what else I could come up with incorporating other DiBruno products,” stated Farina co-owner Jason Okdeh.
“Having a month long collaboration with DiBruno Bros is such an honor. I was raised on their cheeses and specialties. For so long I’ve not only idolized but respected such a legendary local business. Being able to work alongside the DiBruno Bros team and incorporate their product into what I do is such a blessing,” Jason adds.
The Beefie Smalls will be available at Farina Di Vita in Queen Village (250 Catharine St.) as well as all DiBruno’s locations in Philadelphia, Wayne & Ardmore.
