Other Half Brewing Will Officially Open Its Doors This Friday

Yesterday Other Half Brewing posted an update regarding their new Philly location at 1002 Canal St (adjacent to Punch Line Philly).  The brewery will officially open this Friday. Taking over the shuttered Goose Island location, Other Half looks to revitalize the space and making it a haven for beer lovers.

“Alright, Philly, let’s do this – We’re beyond thrilled to finally open our doors this weekend, starting this Friday at 3pm. We’ll be slinging your favorite OH brews with tasty bites from the kitchen ‘til 10 pm. We will have 20 lines of OHB beers, and plenty of cans and bottles to go.

We’re ramping up to being fully operational as fast as we can. This weekend we’ll be open Friday 3-10, Saturday 12-9, and Sunday 12-8. We will be closed Monday and Tuesday next week and reopened Wednesday-Sunday hours to be to be announced next week.,” The post stated.

The Brooklyn-based brewery is best known for hazy IPAs, pastry stouts, and fruit-packed sours, some of which carry outlandish names such as Laid Back Peach Sour IPA, Double Forever Cashmere, and More Simcoe Than All Simcoe,” states Klein.

Consisting of 10,500-sq.ft. the brewhouse located at 1002 Canal St. has sat empty since Goose Island announced the closure back in December. As you would expect the space was highly sought after and was in high demand from a variety of potential tenants. Now Other Half Brewing Co. which was founded in 2014, is looking to “refresh” the indoor and outdoor areas as well as work with local food vendors.
