New Peruvian Restaurant, Vista Peru is Opening in Old City!
Looks like S. 2nd St. is getting more Latin flare. Just a few doors down from Cuba Libre, a new Peruvian restaurant is opening up at 20 S. 2nd St. Vista Peru is set to open its doors Friday February 23rd around noon. The owner Miguel Torres has already seen success with his current Peruvian/Portuguese hybrid restaurants El Balconcito & El Balconcito II, both located in the Northeast.
If you can’t swing the noon time opening, no problemo because an open house is scheduled for Friday from 4-8 pm. What was once one of Philly’s top live music/dinner venues, Tin Angel, Vista Peru is looking occupy the same space and provide a diverse menu. The likes Old City and Center City has yet to experience. Sure we have Cuban spots, Brazilian steakhouses, Puerto Rican vegan bars, and several Mexican joints but Peruvian dishes will provide a nice change of pace. Stay tuned for more updates and our official review once it’s open.
