New Jersey Looks to Cash in on Memorial Day Weekend By Allowing Gatherings of 10 to 25 People!
As with everywhere in America, businesses are reeling from dealing with the aftermath of quarantine mandates. With summer approaching Memorial Day Weekend is a crucial weekend for many these businesses especially those down the shore. However, it looks like New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy wants to soften to the blow by allowing gatherings of 10 to 25 people.
“If you were looking forward to gathering with your neighbors for Memorial Day cookouts, you may do so,” Governor Murphy Stated in a press conference. He added, “So long that social distancing and personal responsibility remain the order of the day.”

Recreational campgrounds – both public and private – are allowed to reopen, effective IMMEDIATELY.

Outdoor recreational businesses such as charter boats, fishing boats, batting cages, driving ranges and other such activities will be included in the new rule.
Although New Jersey has reported 1,394 new cases of the coronavirus since last week, Governor Murphy stated that the hospitalization and patients in intensive care have dramatically fallen.
Although, the state is gradually opening up, Governor Murphy is still encourages social distancing precautions, “Enjoy this weekend, but do not get complacent. Keep up with your social distancing. Wear a face covering if you’re going out. Let’s prove that we can keep these trendlines moving in the right direction,” Murphy said.
