Movies With Live Orchestras are Back at The Mann Featuring Harry Potter, The Godfather & Star Wars
Outdoor movie season is upon us. There’s nothing quite like the vibe of catching one of your favorite flicks on a warm summer night. For the past few years, The Mann Center (5201 Parkside Ave.) has been putting their own twist on outdoor movies by featuring live orchestras performing the scores to some of the most legendary movies in cinematic history. This year, The Mann Center’s line-up has a little bit for everyone.
Featuring both The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Philly POPS, get ready for some classics flicks with some musical flair. The first of three movies kicks-off July 23rd featuring Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ In Concert with The Philadelphia Orchestra. Then on August 11th the big screen will feature Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™ In Concert with The Philly POPS. Last but not least, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the The Godfather on September 29th with The Philly POPS playing the iconic score.
All movies start at 8 pm with seating available in the TD Pavilion as well as the the lawn. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here. (Tickets for the Godfather go on sale April 1st)
