MilkBoy South St. Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Block Party!
MilkBoy South Street, restaurant, bar & live music venue, is excited to celebrate its second anniversary in true Philly style with a day-long block party on Saturday, September 29th, featuring live music, giveaways, an outdoor bar with beverage specials, and free tattoos.
It all goes down from 1-7 pm this Saturday, as MilkBoy takes over the 400 block of South St. along with friends and neighbors, including Jim’s Steaks, No Ka Oi Tiki Tattoo, Mutt Airbrush, Crash Bang Boom, C&C Fashion, Melee Thai, and more for a fun-filled afternoon for food and music lovers alike.
“This is a family affair!” said Chris Beyer, MilkBoy Executive Chef + Manager. “We are pumped to be able to celebrate our 2nd anniversary with, not only our guests and supporters, but also the community. Jim’s Steaks will be out here serving their delicious cheesesteaks, South Street stalwarts, iconic Eye’s Gallery, will have a presence, and, what better way to celebrate our two years, than with a MilkBoy tattoo?”
The talented artists at No Ka Oi Tiki Tattoo will be at the South Street shop all day for anyone looking to get a MilkBoy logo tattoo. The tattoos are FREE on a first come, first serve basis and are only available at No Ka Oi Tiki Tattoo from 1-7 pm on Saturday.
For those uninterested in new ink, there will be an outdoor bar and tables boasting craft beer favorites from Victory Brewing Company, including $4 Homegrown Lagers, and $5 specialty cocktails featuring Jack Daniel’s, El Jimadaor and Finlandia. In addition to the outside fare, MilkBoy will be serving their full menu inside all day, including menu highlights such as the Cheese Curds, Jerk Chicken Quesadillas, Cauliflower Cheesesteak and Fried Chicken Sandwich.
Guests will groove to live music on an outdoor stage from local musicians, Black Landlord, Taylor Lenahan, as well as artists from MilkBoy’s popular HomeGrown Open Mic Series.
MilkBoy South Street, the second (of three) restaurant, bar & live music venues for partners, Tommy Joyner and Jamie Lokoff, opened its doors in 2016 on the bustling corner of 4th and South Streets. MilkBoy, the original location at 11th and Chestnut Sts. is celebrating their 7th anniversary this year.
