Summer is winding down and LUIG’S Real Italian Ice is going out in style. LUIGI’S is bidding farewell to summer in the coolest way possible – by turning the city of Philadelphia into a huge game of bocce ball! On Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, LUIGI’S will launch a hot balloon over 1,000 feet into the air in an attempt to fly over the desired target, the Swann Memorial Fountain in Logan Square, and secure everyone free LUIGI’S. Talk about a sweet treat!
Launching from a yet-to-be-determined location at 6:30 AM EST and 6PM EST, the balloon’s fate will be left entirely to chance due to unpredictable winds! Will it soar over the target and win everyone a frozen snack? You will have to wait and see! Though the outcome will be a surprise, the LUIGI’S team will be sharing the balloon’s coordinates in real time on social media @luigisrealitalianice
