Love Ciders? Woodford Mansion is Hosting CiderFest With Picnic Baskets Curated by Liberty Kitchen
If you’re a fan of ciders or looking for a cool date idea, then the historic Woodford Mansion (33rd St. & Dauphin Dr.) is the place to be this weekend. On Saturday November 6 and Sunday November 7th from 1-7 pm, Home Brewed Events’ CiderFest is returning featuring some of the areas best ciders.
Local hard cider samples will include from Original 13, Hale & True, and Wyndridge on Saturday while Manoff Market Cidery, Original 13,Wyndridge, and Upper Reach Meadery will be on-hand Sunday (additional charge for full pours & to go cider). Looking to turn the festival into a picnic? Liberty Kitchen will be on-hand with curated picnic baskets for an additional charge.
For entertainment enjoy cornhole & other lawn games as well as live music from Cheddar Boys and Hey Slow on Saturday and from Maggie’s Boots and Snack Time on Sunday. Guests will also be able to take advantage of guided tours of 1756 national landmark mansion with 18th century fine and decorative arts collection.
Cider makers will be on-hand to answer your questions and there will be a small vendor market of local small businesses to shop from. Bring a blanket and stay a while on a lovely fall weekend in the park. Proceeds benefit the programs and preservation of Woodford Mansion, a National Historic Landmark built in 1756. The cost for this event is $25 for general admission and $50 for their cider and picnic option and can be purchased here.
