A Silent Auction Featuring an Art Show, Music and Buffet is Happening to Raise Money for PHILADANCO!

For over 50 years the non-profit Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO!)  has presented the highest quality of professional dance performance and cultivates the skills of emerging and professional dancers and choreographers. Across the nation and around the world, PHILADANCO! is celebrated for its innovation, creativity and preservation of predominantly African-American traditions in dance. Now local organizers are looking to give back with the Inner Visions Art Gallery Lounge on November 5th from 6-9:30 at the The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral (23 S. 38th Street).

Founded in 1970 by Joan Myers Brown, PHILADANCO! has touched the lives of many performers including former dancer Zane Booker who is head of ZBE Productions.  Looking to raise money, ZBE will be hosting a silent auction which will include an art show, live DJ, raffles, a complimentary buffet courtesy of Brown’s Family ShopRite, as well as a wine cash bar. Entry will be donation based with tickets ranging from $25–$100, or $10–$50 to join virtually. Tickets are available at philadancoartgallery.com

As you would expect there will also be dance performances. The silent auction will feature the works of Moe Booker and Nile Livingston while art work from various artists will be on display to greet attendees.  Artwork on display will include:

John Dowell
Terrence Gore
Niambi regina wise king
Gary Smalls
Meredith Rainey
Patricia Gunter
Gail Lloyd
Misty Sol
Dwayne Alistar
Vaccination card or proof of negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours will be requested at the door for entry.
