Looking to Get Your Garden Ready and Have Thriving Plants? FarmerJawn Greenery is Hosting a Series of Spring Workshops

Spring is here and for many that means it’s time to get the garden ready. Either you have a seasoned green thumb or new to the plant life, local community greenhouse and market FarmerJawn Greenery (6730 Germantown Ave.)  is hosting a series of workshops to make sure your plants are thriving.

Held both online and in-person the FarmerJawn spring series consists of workshops to cover just about every horticulture need from “Starting Fresh,” to “Houseplant 101, to “Herb’an Medicine” each workshop will guide you through the process and feature both an in-person and virtual option for those that may or may not be able to attend onsite.

“Spring is such an amazing and transformative season! It’s the perfect time to figuratively and literally plant seeds for the future. At The Greenery we have the opportunity to really grasp community needs for the upcoming seasons and allow them to be a part of that plan. We are incredibly excited to introduce our upcoming workshops now available virtually. We’ve got something for everyone; including kid’s classes starting this summer,” states store manager and event facilitator, Kale Henderson.

“Agricultural education is so important but especially in urban areas where folks may not have as much space. By expanding knowledge on the proper way to maintain your plants and even how to utilize your space for better yields are such important tools for success. For example; our Jawn Your Lawn workshops series highlights using companion planting, beneficial bugs, and compost in order to boost your garden for bountiful harvests year-round,” Kale adds.
