LeBron James Chose Philly — Now Honeygrow Owes The King Free Food for Life

Philly’s own fast-casual chain Honeygrow provided an offer to LeBron, now it looks like they have to pay up. Honeygrow stated they would offer LeBron James free food for life if he chose Philly. Now following James’ decision to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers it looks like they will get to know the King’s go-to order. The claim stems from a statement the company previously posted on social media, in which it pledged to give James free food for life if he chose to join the 76ers.

James signed with the 76ers as a free agent this offseason on a two-year deal, according to multiple sports outlets, ending his run with the Los Angeles Lakers and marking the fourth team change of his career. With the signing finalized, Honeygrow says it is now on the hook for the offer it made.

Honeygrow, founded in Philadelphia in 2012, operates fast-casual restaurants serving stir-fry, salads and dessert “honeybars” across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, Ohio and Michigan.

The company has not publicly detailed how or when it plans to fulfill the pledge, and it is unclear whether James or his representatives have responded to the offer. Additional details are expected to follow as the company and James’ camp address the terms of the pledge.
