Korea Taqueria is Celebrating Their 1 Year Anniversary With Plenty of Food Specials, & Giveaways

Time flies when you’re eating tacos. It has already been a year since the wildly popular Korea Taqueria (3101 Tasker St.) in Greys Ferry opened its doors to rave reviews from the foodie community. Now Owner Alexander Sherack and Head Chef Rene Lopez are looking to thank their supporters with plenty of food specials and giveaways.

From Tuesday March 5th through March 10th 11am-9pm , Korea Taqueria will be offering deals including $1 Korean Fried Chicken wings all week, $6 for 6 Korean fried chicken, “Meal for 2” with all best sellers (Birria, Fried chicken, Guac & Chips) will come with 2 free drinks, and additional specials to be announced. In addition Kore Taqueria will be giving away $25 gift gift vouchers, and tees all week.

“Year one has been a blast. From day 1, all the way through to today, we’ve felt the love from the people, our local community and were stoked to be highlighted by top foodie media companies like PhillyMag Foobooz, Eater, and Infatuation listed us as one of their best new restaurants of 2023. Our team, led by Head Cchef Rene Lopez, has put in the hard work at food truck events and at our restaurant, and we’re looking forward to another big year,” Sherack stated.

So with a year under their belt, what can fans expect moving forward? “Firstly, we’re going big on catering this year, with food truck catering and build-your-own taco bars. Philly has proven itself to be a real foodie city that gets behind hard working small operators like ours!! We really think our story from starting as a food cart at festivals, then moving into a take-out neighborhood restaurant space in Grays Ferry resonates with a lot of Philadelphians. We’re underdogs that are making our way up, making great food, keeping true to ourselves, at a fair price, and sharing the journey with the people. We believe that Philadelphia, pound for pound, is one of the best food cities in the nation,” Sherack added.
