Her Place Supper Club in Rittenhouse is Hosting Burger Popup This Weekend!
Amanda Shulman’s Her Place Supper Club is teaming up with local cook Devon Wade this Saturday, August 21st, as one of Rittenhouse’s hottest new dining destination will be hosting its first ever burger popup, with a pair of burgers available for walk-up beginning at noon at Her Place located at 1740 Sansom Street in Rittenhouse.
Wade, who once cooked at Zahav, and took a year off to work at the acclaimed Birmingham, Alabama restaurant, Highlands, will be making two burgers: The Betty with tomato jam, garlic aioli, American cheese, and pickles; and The Claudia with blue cheese aioli, bacon onion jam, and pickles. Both burgers will be served on a Martin’s Potato Roll.
“I’m so excited to be doing this popup, especially at Her Place Supper Club, where Amanda has been doing absolutely incredible things in the kitchen,” said Wade. “I’m very grateful that she’s giving me this opportunity to feature one of my favorite foods to make, and I’m looking forward to a fun Saturday in the kitchen. I named the two burgers after these two line cooks I worked with at Al’s Burger Shack in Chapel Hill. These two women held that place down like no one’s business, and they taught me a lot, so I wanted to honor them in some way.”
