Google is About to Change the Way We Watch TV With the All-New YouTube TV
Just yesterday Google launched YouTube TV. So what’s this mean? Well for the low low price of $35 per month you can enjoy over 40 networks including ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, as well as Bravo, FX, ESPN and Fox Sports.
It doesn’t stop there. Subscribers to this new wave TV will also be able to watch shows previously only available on YouTube Red, the ad-free YouTube subscription service. Need more of a reason to cut the cord and make the switch to YouTube TV? Well how about unlimited DVR space and the ability to watch shows previously only available on YouTube Red.
YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki promises that this new wave service will work seamlessly with your TV. However, subscribers will need a Google Chromecast (or a TV with Chromecast built in). The YouTube TV app functions as the remote, and you can search by show or by topic. Much like Netflix, YouTube TV will also look to broadcast original shows and movies. Well it looks like streaming services for TV has taken off. We wonder if cable companies are starting to feel the heat!
