Geno’s Steaks is Promoting A “Willy Wonka” Like Golden Ticket Contest

Geno Vento can be considered somewhat of a marketing genius.  In a recent press release, Geno’s Steaks has announced a Willy Wonka like golden ticket contest.  Geno’s will hide 5 golden tickets inside random cheesesteak orders throughout the month of July.  If you live under a rock and haven’t read the book or seen the movie, basically Willy Wonka was the owner of a chocolate factory and hid golden tickets inside random chocolate bars.  Kids who found the tickets got to tour his chocolate factory.  However, instead of a chocolate factory winners in this contest will get a behind the scenes tour of Geno’s.  In addition winners will receive a complimentary lunch and tickets to a Phillies Vs. Mets game.

Geno who stated he was inspired by the popular Willy Wonka character stated, “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ is one of my favorite childhood movies — it brings back so many memories of being a kid in South Philly…I love the idea that my customers love Philly as much as I do. What better way to show them my appreciation?”

So no matter what side of the trenches you are on in the eternal battle of Geno’s Vs. Pat’s, you have to admit that this is pretty cool.
