Fond Launches an Exclusive Cocktail Class Series!
Fond, the acclaimed contemporary American restaurant on Passyunk Square, is excited to announce the launch of an all-new craft cocktail class series on Monday, November 4, from 6:30-8 pm. Participants can look forward to eight intimate 10-seat only hands-on cocktail trainings and education with Fond’s General Manager Adam Judeh and Lead Bartender Carnie Gilfillan. Tickets are $65 per person and include recipes and training on how to expertly make two craft cocktails, a tasting and discussion of different spirits as well as corresponding snacks provided by Chef Lee Styer.
“We always get questions from guests about our craft cocktail program,” says General Manager Adam Judeh. “We decided to offer exclusive, limited, cocktail-making classes to provide insight knowledge for those interested in amping their at-home bar game.”
The first three limited and intimate 1 1/2 hour cocktail classes will be themed the following:
Origin of Spirits: Mixed vs. Stirred / Light Spirits vs. Aged
Monday, November 4 from 6:30-8pm
Festive Cocktails – from Flips to Champagne Cocktails – How to Make your Season Pop! Monday, December 2 from 6:30-8pm
2020 on a Sour Note! Explore sours from the history
Monday, January 3 from 6:30-8pm
The theme of the remaining five classes will be revealed later this year. Interested parties can secure their spot by calling the restaurant during business hours at 215-551-5000.
“Fond started out as a BYO, and ever since we started offering cocktails, we’ve always strived to be creative and seasonal,” says Chef and Owner Lee Styer. “Typically, we’re closed on Mondays, so we thought this was the perfect time to launch our cocktail-making series — just in time for holiday at-home entertaining.”
Fond, the critically acclaimed three-bell restaurant by Philadelphia Inquirer’s food critic Craig LaBan, offers seasonal menus and original French-inspired comfort food but also evolved cuisine and more culinary adventurous creations. Additionally, guests are invited to enjoy half dozen oysters and a glass of rosé for $10 every Tuesday at the bar and stop by for happy hour specials Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 pm-7pm and Sundays from 5-6:30 pm.
