Local meal delivery service Home Appétit will be collaborating with Starr’s LMNO to fundraise for Puentes de Salud at the end of the month.

LMNO executive chef Frankie Ramirez will join Home Appétit’s chef/founder, Lee Wallach in the kitchen, to recreate two of the restaurant’s signature dishes to be offered on the Home Appétit menu the week of Monday, April 4th.

Home Appétit delivers every Monday on a weekly, non-subscription basis to Philadelphia, South Jersey, Delaware and the surrounding suburbs, including most towns in Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester counties.

A portion of the sales from the week will be donated to the Philadelphia-based, Puentes de Salud; a nonprofit organization that promotes the health and wellness of Philadelphia’s rapidly growing Latinx immigrant population through high-quality health care, innovative educational programs, and community building. This collaboration is part of an ongoing charity initiative in which Home Appétit supports a local chef and their organization of choice. To date they have donated over $27,000 to various organizations through the program. Past participants include: Chutatip “Nok” Suntaranon, Nick Elmi, Tyler Akin, Dionicio Jimenez, Jim and Kristina Burke andLily Fischer and Nima Etemadi. Home Appétit donated an additional $10,000 for World Central Kitchen—to support their efforts in feeding displaced Ukrainians—at the beginning of the month.

The two dishes which Ramirez and Home Appétit are featuring on the menu are Grilled Esquites, grilled sweet corn, epazote, mayo, queso fresco, tajin, chile de arbol, and lime and Pescado Zarandeado, grilled fish with fresh vegetable pico and avocado sauce, served with flour tortillas.

The collaboration menu will go live on Tuesday, March 29that homeappetitphilly.com; orders must be placed by 10pm on Friday, April 1st in order to be delivered on Monday, April 4th.
