Es Cafe Lounge is Hosting Their Inaugural BBQ Cook-Off With Prizes, Live Music, a Car Show & More
If you know how to throw down on some BBQ or just love to eat it, we found a festival just for you. This Saturday August 20th from 2 pm – 10 pm, Es Cafe Lounge (1447 N American St.) will be hosting their inaugural Street Festival BBQ Cook-Off. Anyone looking to enter their BBQ is encouraged to do so as several judges will be on hand to determine who has the best BBQ skills.
That’s right no matter if you make BBQ chicken, ribs, brisket or whatever you can sign up by emailing escafelounge@gmail.com. The entry fee is $75 and the deadline to sign-up is this Friday. The winner for best BBQ will receive $500 and a 1st place trophy, second place will receive $250 and a medal and third place receives $100 and a medal.
For those looking to just attend and get your grub on, there will be plenty of food vendors on-hand as well including Poultrysmith, Glazed & Infused, as well as Da Chunk’Ay Monk’Ay. The festival will also feature a car show produced by The Philadelphia Car Show along with music by DJ Aura (spinning 12 pm- 4 pm) and live performances including The Life in You.
For a cool local shopping experience, the BBQ Cook-Off will also have vendors on-hand including Nori’s Jewelry Box, Do Good Vintage and Hill Climb Garage Moto Club.
