East Passyunk Avenue is Hosting Its First Ever Harvest Celebration!

East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID), home to a diverse and celebrated culinary and retail scene, will host its first ever Harvest Celebration, showcasing local businesses while enjoying the autumnal season with a bevy of fall-themed food, beverage, and shopping, from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 25.

Many restaurants and bars along the Avenue will offer seasonal dishes and drinks available to the public during the seasonal celebration. With indoor and outdoor dining options as well as take-out, folks will enjoy fall flavors from one of our local businesses, or in the comfort of their own home.

“Even in this unusual climate, we still wanted to give people an opportunity to enjoy themselves, and celebrate all the rich flavors of the season,” said EPABID Executive Director Adam Leiter. “We encourage everyone to come down the Avenue for a safe and socially distanced experience of fall flavors, shopping and more.”  Find here a sample of participating restaurants and menu additions:

  • Bing Bing Dim Sum – Caramel pork shank – Vietnamese pickles, sambal, steamed buns
  • Cantina Los Caballitos – Squash blossom quesadillas. Pumpkin chai, pomegranate, and spiced pear margaritas
  • Essen Bakery – Homemade Oreo cookies and spooky Halloween black and white cookies
  • Flannel – Mesquite pork ribs and Memphis brisket. Fresh blackberry-lavender tea lemonade
  • Noir – Smokey Harvest Margarita – tequila, apple cider, lime triple sec and maple syrup
  • River Twice – The Whitesbog Cranberry Mule: vodka, house made cranberry juice, lime, topped with our ginger beer in a frosty, copper mug  East Passyunk Avenue is also home to a vibrant retail scene, and shops and services are getting in on the fall fun. A variety of stores will take part and offer fall-themed, special seasonal options for shoppers. Just some of the participants include:
  • Amelie’s Bark Shop – Treats and dress-up items for your favorite furry pals, including limited edition bandanas, mystery boxes, and more.
  • A Novel Idea – Halloween-themed book bundles: customers save between 20- 25% by buying the bundles which range in price from $20-$55 and includes three books – adult fiction bundle, middle-grade fiction bundle, and children's picture book bundle
  • A Star Is Born – Will showcase just-in fall children’s apparel and preview the latest holiday lines. With each purchase receive one free fall-themed kids craft to take home.

Whether it be dining or shopping, customers are encouraged to take photos of their Harvest Celebration photo(s) and share them on Instagram using the hashtag #PassyunkHarvest. East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District will be giving away $100 worth of gift cards to one randomly selected Instagram post between the 16 th  and the 25 th .
