Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia Returns This August With a Celebration Inspired by America’s 250th Anniversary
One of Philly’s trendiest summer traditions is set to return as Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia announces its 14th annual event will take place on August 20, 2026. Following last year’s memorable Gatsby-themed gathering at Girard College, organizers are promising another unforgettable evening of elegance, community, and surprise at a new secret location somewhere in Philadelphia.
This year’s celebration will embrace the spirit of America’s 250th anniversary, blending the signature sophistication of Dîner en Blanc with patriotic inspiration and Americana flair.
The official announcement was made during a special gathering at the Museum of the American Revolution, where media members, supporters, and volunteers were treated to a preview of this year’s theme. Guests enjoyed themed bites from Feast Your Eyes Catering, champagne in the museum’s Liberty Room, performances by historical reenactors from Becton Tours, and a surprise musical performance by Joshua Mitchell featuring selections from the hit musical Hamilton.
Attendees also viewed George Washington’s iconic field tent, received Colonial-inspired silhouette portraits from Silhouettes by Hand, explored patriotic table décor ideas, and signed a custom declaration designed by Knockout Lettering commemorating the return of Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia.
Founded in Paris in 1988, Dîner en Blanc has grown into a worldwide phenomenon known for transforming secret locations into elegant outdoor dining experiences. Guests dressed entirely in white gather for an evening of food, entertainment, and celebration, with the event’s location revealed only moments before attendees arrive.
Since debuting in Philadelphia in 2012, the event has become a staple of the city’s summer social calendar, attracting thousands of guests from across the region.
“We are thrilled to bring Dîner en Blanc back to Philadelphia for its 14th year on August 20th,” said Natanya DiBona, Co-Host of Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia. “It’s a very special year for our nation and Philadelphia in particular, so we’re excited to be one of the many great celebrations taking place in the city this summer.”
The 2026 theme carries special significance as it highlights the historic connection between France and the United States. France played a critical role as one of America’s strongest allies during the Revolutionary War, creating a fitting link between the French origins of Dîner en Blanc and Philadelphia’s role in the nation’s founding.
Guests can expect an evening filled with beautifully designed tablescapes, delicious food and beverages, live entertainment, and a uniquely Philadelphia celebration of community and history. As always, attendees will help create the magic by transforming an undisclosed location into a sea of white for one unforgettable night.
Ticket sales for Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia are expected to begin in early July. Those interested in attending are encouraged to create an account in advance through the event’s website at philadelphia.dinerenblanc.com/city
With America’s 250th anniversary celebrations taking place throughout the city in 2026, Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia is poised to be one of the season’s most elegant and memorable events, bringing together thousands of guests to celebrate history, friendship, and the enduring spirit of Philadelphia.
