Dilworth Park Will Host “Dinner at Dilworth” A Weekly Event With Live Music and Cocktails-To-Go!
Every Wednesday and Thursday evening from 5 p.m.-9 p.m., beginning August 12 and continuing through October 7, Philadelphians are invited to enjoy the fountains, lush landscaping and outdoor tables with umbrellas, during Dinner at Dilworth. Now more than ever, our public spaces can provide safe, socially distanced amenities that are open to all.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to support Center City restaurants by either dining on their sidewalks or picking up a takeout order and dining outdoors in Dilworth Park. There will be live entertainment every Wednesday and Thursday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., including mellow steel drum performances, jazzy crooners and singer-songwriter serenades.
Refreshing cocktails to-go made with summertime favorites like Jim Beam Black and Hornitos tequila, as well as Bud Light Seltzer, will be available for purchase in the park from Brulee Catering for adults 21 and over. The park’s Air Grille will have its own dinner menu, including braised mole beef tacos and a chicken al pastor quesadilla.
Children with families and guests of all ages can relax and enjoy the show at a distance as the park’s fountains and Janet Echelman’s colorfully illuminated artwork, Pulse, dance to the rhythm.
Reservations are not necessary, as ample seating and space will be provided on the PNC Terrace and across the park. Guests who plan on bringing takeout can select from some of the best restaurants in the city, including nearby favorites like McCormick & Schmick’s, Aqimero at the Ritz Carlton, Lolita, Barbuzzo, Tradesman’s, Finn McCool’s Ale House and more. An ongoing list of all Center City restaurants offering takeout can be found at centercityphila.org/support. Patronizing these establishments and all other Center City restaurants will help maintain the vibrancy of Center City’s award-winning restaurant scene and support hundreds of restaurant and food service employees.
Masks are required at all times, except when eating or drinking. CCD and the park’s café operators have implemented increased health safety procedures throughout the parks and visitors will be reminded to adhere to all CDC guidelines. CCD staff, who will be routinely cleaning all chairs and tables, are wearing masks, as well. Anyone who feels sick, or has come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, should refrain from entering the park. Visit DilworthPark.org to learn more.
The summer season at Dilworth Park is presented by Rothman Orthopaedics and PNC Bank and supported by Temple University, Live Nation, Jim Beam Black and Bud Light Seltzer. All programs are weather permitting and subject to change.
