Diddy and His Sons are Bringing Back Making the Band!
It’s been 20 years since Diddy blessed us with Making the Band on MTV. The show has spawned classic TV moments and sound clips that are hilarious to this day (thanks Dave Chappelle).
Now it looks like Diddy and his trio of sons dubbed “The Combs Cartel” are bringing back the classic show. In a video that dropped Wednesday, Diddy and his sons Christian, Quincy and Justin make the big announcement.
“We not settling for just anybody,” Quincy says in the clip. “If you feel like you got what it takes to compete in today’s industry—y’all know how our pops does it. So expect nothing but the best to be showing up.”
Open auditions for Making the Band will go down in Atlanta (Feb. 28-29), Houston (March 7-8), Charlotte, North Carolina (March 13-14), and New York (March 21-22). According to Deadline, each of these cities will have vocal booths in which people can deliver a music-video-style performance to approved songs.
