Center City’s Jamonera Just Switched to Salty’s Seafood & Ice Cream Shack!
Center City Spanish tapas spot Jamonera (105 S. 13th St.) has just made a complete shift and is now Salty’s Seasfood & Ice Cream Shack. Yes, that is a mouthful to say but also a great assortment of mouthwatering food as well. The re-branding is a pop-up shop that will run until September then it will switch back to the classic Jamonera.
Along with some remodeling of the restaurant, they also revamped the menu to include items such as grilled seafood, lobster rolls, burgers, “shore hoagies”, steamers and parfaits, ice cream floats and much more! Now we’ve never heard of a seafood & ice cream combo restaurant but this has ready to try.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a variey of cocktails with outdoor table service for some “fresco dining.” Reservations are strongly encouraged as seating is limited.
There have been some cosmetic changes to the restaurant, we’re told, as they intend to keep this pop-up going through September. Like other Center City restaurants that are working to adapt to the Summer of COVID, the Safran Turney team is trying to appeal to the summer vibes we’re all desperately seeking.
Hours of operation will be Wednesday and Thursday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. See full menus below:
