Center City District Restaurant Week Returns This September Featuring Deals at Over 100 Restaurants
Hey foodies, fall is almost here and if you’re looking to kick off September with some of the best restaurants in the city then you’ll be happy to know that Center City District Restaurant Week is right around the corner.
Center City District Restaurant Week (CCDRW) will highlight Center City’s diverse dining scene this fall with discounted menus at more than 100 locations. Beginning Sunday, September 8 through Saturday, September 21, three course, prix-fixe dinners can be enjoyed for just $40 or $60, and two-course lunches for $20. The full list of participating restaurants can be found at ccdrestaurantweek.com.
Dinner will be served indoors or outdoors, if available, and at some locations, takeout will be offered. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made through OpenTable. For an additional price, inventive cocktail pairings can be added to complement CCDRW menus with featured Suntory Global Spirits brands, A. Overholt® Rye Whiskey and Tres Generaciones Plata® Tequila. Tax, gratuity and other beverages are not included in the prix-fixe menu discount.
For diners travelling into Center City, discounted parking for $10 or less will be available every night of the promotion from 4:45 p.m. through 1 a.m. Options include select Interpark, Bexpark by Brandywine, LAZ and Philadelphia Parking Authority locations. Guests must visit ccdrestaurantweek.com to find the closest garage to their dining destination and follow the instructions provided. Some locations allow the use of a digital parking voucher (which can be accessed directly on the website), and others require reservations made ahead of time.

Front and back of house workers are another vital component to the ongoing success of CCDRW. CCD has requested participating restaurants to nominate members of their staff for the chance to win a $500 “tip.” Five winners will be selected at random, with all nominees receiving a small gift as a token of appreciation. Winners will be announced once CCDRW ends. As always, CCD encourages all diners to tip their servers and wait staff as generously as possible.
CCDRW can provide a much-needed boost to restaurants after a slower summer season, with close to 90% of participating restaurants reporting an increase in sales after last September’s promotion. With more diners eating out, more people were walking Center City streets, including an uptick of workers coming into the office. From September 10-September 23, 2023, 11% more non-resident workers were reported to have visited Center City overall than the weeks before and after, including 16% more during the work-week, Monday through Thursday.
“Center City continues to be the region’s premier destination for shopping, entertainment, and most notably, dining. Restaurant Week helps to spotlight the chefs and restaurateurs who work tirelessly to uphold that reputation and gives thousands of people the opportunity to try their best dishes at a discounted rate,” said Michelle Shannon, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Center City District. “We hope that Restaurant Week inspires continued patronage and support of our restaurants as they are a vital part of our downtown economic engine.”
“Center City District Restaurant Week is more than just a prix-fixe dining promotion,” said Prema Katari Gupta, President and CEO of Center City District. “It is a reminder of the incredible culinary talents found only in Center City. I want to thank every chef, line cook, busser, server, dishwasher, hostess and bartender for their roles in making Restaurant Week an experience that people from around the region look forward to every year.”
