Bridesburg’s Smokey Pint Gears Up for their 1st Annual Fall Festival
Philadelphia consistently rates as one of the country’s top beer towns. The amount of craft beer and micro brew spots have sprouted up like weeds in an unkept lawn throughout the city in the last decade. The majority of these trendy bars exist in the beef hotbeds of Center City, E. Passyunk or Fishtown/Northern Liberties.
However, in what can only be described as being ahead of the curb, just north or Port Richmond lies the sleepy section of Philly called Bridesburg. You can drive right up Aramingo or 95 and miss it. Here you’ll fine one establishment that is making a strong case to make a beer pit stop. Smokey Pint which serves up a great selection of craft beers both on tap and bottled is blazing the craft beer trail in the Bridesburg/Port Richmond area.
Smokey Pint which is tucked away at 2549 Orthodox St, is one of Philly’s best kept secrets. A no-nonsense bar in a traditional blue collar part of town, it fits the bill for the classic Philly watering hole.
As a small way of saying “hey we’re here, come check us out” Smokey Pint is hosting the 1st Annual Smokey Pint Fall Festival on November 7th from 6-10pm. Complete with classic festival features such as plenty of food and beer, guests will also be treated to a live DJ, family activities, face painting, a raffle and an additional food option to cater to the locals. Being that this area has a strong Polish presence, Mom-Moms Polish food-cart will also be on hand to supply folks with tasty grub.
We’re pretty sure once you get a chance to check out everything Smokey Pint has to offer, Bridesburg will become like a second home.
