Autana Authentic Venezuelan Food is Popping-Up For The First Time In Philly at Manatawny Still Works Fishtown
Ardmore’s Autana Authentic Venezuelan Food Coming to Philly for First Time with Popup at Manatawny Still Works Fishtown on Wednesday, August 9th.
Levi and María-José Hernández, owners and operators of Autana Authentic Venezuelan Food in Ardmore, has been serving the Main Line for the past few years, earning critical acclaim for her empanadas, arepas, and other Venezuelan fare. Now, she will be cooking for Philly foodies for the first time ever with a popup at Manatawny Still Works at 1321 N. Lee Street in Fishtown on Wednesday, August 9th from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Autana will be doing a complete takeover of Manatawny on this night, with a menu that includes Jalapeño Tequeños, Empanaditas Assorted, Arepitas Assorted; Mandocas; Tartare Criollo, and special fusion cocktails.
“I am so excited to finally have a popup in our incredible city. Our customers who either live on the Main Line or travel to our restaurant always have wonderful things to say, so I’m really happy that I get to cook for a whole new group of Philadelphians who may have never tried our food,” said Hernández. “There aren’t many Venezuelan dining destinations in the city, especially in Fishtown, so this should be a fantastic opportunity to introduce a new cuisine to a plethora of new people.”
Autana’s cuisine draws from the Hernández family’s traditional recipes, combining Caribbean and Latin flavors in simple, savory dishes. The family-run restaurant, located at 4 Station Road in Ardmore, PA, is open seven days a week for lunch/brunch, and from Thursday through Sunday for dinner.
