Attention Flappers: Science After Hours is Hosting a Roaring 20’s Theme
Perhaps one fo the most popular science events in the city, Science After Hours has continually rolled out cool themes throughout the years. Now you can revisit the roaring 20s at the throwback soiree of the season. Think cocktails, flappers, hot jazz, and cool speakeasies as you transport back to the decade that brought us great technological leaps and countless legendary gains. The Roaring 20’s Science After Hours goes down at the Franklin Institute January 23rd from 7-10 pm.
Explore scientific and cultural highlights of the time, showcased alongside advancements of today. Delve into the science and mastery behind gambling, smuggling, propaganda, and other Prohibition-era mischiefs with interactive activities and performances—and music curated by Philly’s own jazz station WRTI-FM.
