Attention Ladies: A Sneaker Charm School is Taking Place Featuring a Custom Sneaker Workshop
If you’re looking for a fun and interactive experience in the world of kicks, then get ready for the upcoming Sneaker Charm School hosted by ASGNMT and Melanated Nerd. Sneaker Charm School will take place on Saturday November 2nd from 3:30 -6:30 pm at Encanto Kicks & Coffee (2110 E. Norris St.) and will be hosted by Wooder Ice’s own Lauren Rei.
This workshop is geared to women and will offer “a warm environment and vibe at a local kicks and coffee shop, a curated selection of materials and supplies that includes charms, pins, and laces. Cafe menu picks in support of Encanto. Great playlist, fun, engaging conversation and place to let your inner child free,” states event organizers. Guests will get to enjoy light bites as well as sneakers inspired non alcoholic beverages at their cafe
“The workshop will be guided by Maria and myself. There will be picture inspo on the tables but the idea is for the participants to come with an open mind and create freely. Art is therapy,” stated Jeneene Bailey Allen, owner of ASGNMT. The idea for this event came after I had the chance to take part in something similar and saw how powerful it was to bring women together—not just those who love sneakers, but those who love community, collaboration, and creativity. I thought it would be amazing to partner with Maria from Melanated Nerd, another woman-owned brand, to create a space where women could connect right before the holidays. It’s a chance for participants to design something unique—whether it’s to give a gift or just to take a breather and get creative before the holiday madness kicks in,” Jeneene added.
